Just joined the group for useful information. I have a 1998 Spider 916 2.0 TS. Acceleration does not seem good enough for a two litre car and I was wondering if it was fitted with any sort of fuel filter that I can try changing. The idle is good. The engine sound fine. Thanks

Hello Ordsall.Your spider,is a phase 1 model? your engine has 150cv from the factory.For first..check your spark plugs,maybe is time to replace them with new.

Hi, if it's hesitant when you put your foot down it could be your maf, easiest way to test is disconnect it and drive the car around. Also with these cars especially the twin spark you do have to high rev them 👍

Thanks for that. I bought some cleaning fluid for the maf, a spray, which I used at the weekend when I replaced the air filter. Might help, might not. However I will disconnect it and try that. See what happens. If there is a significant change I'll let you know.
