Hello from Cheshire, UK

I've admired the gtv coupe for many years and I'm now actively searching for one. Up to now its been a bit futile, e.g. travelled 60+ miles to Bradford, only to find a guy who flew in from Ireland that morning beat me to it! Followed by a visit to the depths of Marple, for my first actual drive in one.....phwor! It had a few issues, so I backed out. Hopefully my patience and perseverence will pay off in the end. The Cougar needs to go, bad wishbones and arb bushes are playing havoc with my fillings! So here's to a gtv filled future!

Hello! A GTV will be a huge improvement after a Cougar! My advice is don't buy one them cheapos...Unless you definitely know what exactly is wrong with it and how much money and time it'll cost you  ;)

Thanks for the advice Mosko, I'm quite attached to Cougars, having owned my first for over 10 years and it served us well doing everything from 'grand tours'across Europe to devouring the contents of my garden shed and the shed itself for a visit to the tip. I'm on my second at the moment, bought for a steal at £850, but I now want to take the plunge with a gtv and was thinking that a budget of around £2000 might get me a decent example. Cheers pinin.

Well 2 grand will get you a good Twin Spark if I'm honest. V6s are a more expensive :)
