Hi all! I'm new to GTV ownership, having just acquired a black Phase 2 2001 GTV 3.0 with tan interior last month. I also have a 1973 Giulia 2000 GTV. Apologies for the cellphone pic quality but I haven't had time able to take decent pics since polishing her for the first time this past weekend.

Welcome to the forum. Both cars look very good  . 

You have one big advantage related owning of classic car (or any car) and that is no winter -> no rust  .

I remember, when going to rally Acropolis some years ago (south Greece), that saw some old cars on the streets and non of them have rust visually .

Thanks for the welcome, Paso and kunev! Unfortunately, after six years of owning the 105 GTV, the sills and passenger must be redone. I live in Stellenbosch in the Western Cape and the car used to live at the coast before for a long time. The previous owner did a superficial resto of the sills and doors, so eventually this approach started revealing itself two years into.my ownership. I was going to send it for a resto this year but the 916 popped up and I just had to have it so the 105 will have to wait a bit longer .

I must disagree with this. In Canary Islands we also don't have winter (lower temperature is about 15º C) but this is a moist place and we're 2nd on the "rust ranking" just after Hawaii.
