Differences between 2.0 V6 TB and 3.0 V6 12V

I know that the 2.0 V6 TB was developed starting from the 3.0 V6 12V, but what are the differences between those two engines?

Or, let me put it this way: let's say hypothetically we have both engines next to each other; how much plug'n'play would be to make a 3.0 V6 TB and how much mods would be needed? Except the mapping part, obviously...

 

Has anybody done this before?

I do not know the answer. But the thought of a 3.0 TB makes me smile from ear to ear.

There's a thread on AlfaOwner where an Italian guy converts a 2.0TB to a 3.0TB with custom pistons and a remapped original ECU (quite an achievement, I think? Since it's as old as civilization...). It's a good read :)

Kamel alias tungchoui done a gtv 3.0 V6 TB starting from the 3.0. He told that water ways wasn't the same between both engines. Certainly many other things to adapt...

It doesn't led because too instable, too hard to set the custom gesture, etc... I don't remember exactly why...

This is the car, which I remembered, when read this topic. Very serious project and the car looks like stock in the engine bay :o. Also you can look at Squadra tuning Spider 2.8 turbo -> link . If the ECU of 2.0 V6 was more "advanced" ...  In the mentioned project the guy start with ECU from 2.0 V6, but then move to Megasquirt and it is very happy with that move (not a surprise here).
