Hi there

Hi from England! Great forum for us GTV owners! I have a ph2 V6 in black with red style interior, ive owned it for around 18 months and its my 3rd alfa after 2.0 156 and 147 GTA....the GTV is my favourite!

Welcome to the forum  :) . The number of members from England increase, probably is greater than from any other country. It is interesting to me, can you make comparison between GTV V6 and 147 GTA? Probably GTA is faster. How about handling, driving feel. Does any of these have some performance modifications - shocks, springs, brakes, Q2/Quaife, exhaust ... . And waiting for the pictures, not only of GTV.

funny I hardly ever see GTVs on the road in England.

The GTV feels alot more special being a coupe rather than a hot hatch, also my GTV has koni sport shocks, quaiffe diff so feels much more planted than the GTA which to be fair was standard. I've also upgraded the brakes to ferodo ds2500 on the front which make a difference but no comparison to the bigger 330mm disks on the GTA.

will add photos when I work out how to attach...!

I mean probably most in the forum  :) for comparison between countries.

Koni on standard springs? Your differential, been a quaife, probably is installed not so long ago. So your GTA is from newer model with 330mm brakes and bigger calipers?

The gtv is on konis with shorter springs- they were installed by the previous owner. Personally I would have kept standard springs as its pretty hard....but goes around corners as if its on rails! Yes it's a quaiffe that was fitted same time as the lighter GTA flywheel.

On the GTA (which I sold) the front brakes were upgraded to 330mm as it was a 2003 model. Alfa UK agreed to pay for the parts so it only cost me around £400!

Brakes on the gtv are standard size but I've changed the worn out disks to padgid all round with fs2500 pads on front an standard pad on rear with racing fluid. Alot better than before but you have to press hard!!

Welcome George! :)

When I was in London I saw only one GTV in five days, it was a siliver ph2 V6. There was so many Beemers that I could mistake London for Berlin! ;)
