The setting for this year’s festival is the stunning Transfăgărăşan road, a paved road connecting the two highest mountain peaks in Romania. It is truly a beautiful piece of engineering, or, what Top Gear named “an unbroken grey ribbon of automotive perfection”. The zigzagging 92 km road reaches its highest altitude at 2042 m, passing over 800 small bridges and 28 viaducts. A total of five tunnels, including the longest one in Romania, break into the serene landscapes. But don’t worry, your engine will love them, and you’ll hear it purr. Yeah, i know that standard are 305, but I thought they came on the 12V as well. Good to know.

Nice! See you met another Spider on the road too What engine and what mods does that MiTo have? Were you seriously, is it faster than a 3l v6?

AFAIK, it's all true about V6 TB, that engine was never Euro3 compliant, and it is indeed based on the 3.0 V6. Don't know about the 2.0 V6 on Alfa 6, probably a totally different architecture though.

I don't know how much was he involved in project 916, but he leaded Carozeria Pininfarina from 1966 to 2006, when he became honorary chairman. He died today in his house in Turin, at the age of 85. Rest in peace!
