June sounds good, especially considering the fact how many Alfas are driving our way down south... Let's keep in touch and get it organised, OK?
-
Just to show you what you'll miss if you don't come!!

Schedule: Friday, 4th October 2013 - 20:00 hrs - meeting at Hostel Antico in Motovun. They have a small bar in the hostel so we can organise a small meet&greet event (finger food, wine etc). That would be a perfect way to meet each other and talk a bit, no? - Sleep over in the hostel, bed+breakfast is 105 HRK - photos of the hostel and Motovun are available at http://www.booking.com/hotel/hr/hostel-antico.hr.html?aid=357020;label=gog235jc-index-XX-XX-XX-unspec-hr-com;sid=3c1dee7863380693f6de6b7ebc65fa7b;dcid=1 - DON'T BOOK ANYTHING! We talked to the owners and have reserved the whole hostel (15 persons max)! - Please send ASAP the list of people willing to sleep - we need it to sort out the room arrangements. Saturday, 5th October 2013 - breakfast, coffee :-) - driving - route planned by Paso - lunch (somwhere where's good food and nice view) - some more driving, coffee breaks, photo sessions etc - getting back to the hostel in the evening - dinner somewhere in Motovun - there are few nice restaurants so good food is a must! Sunday, 6th October 2013 - morning coffee, breakfast - some more driving and going home... I repeat: please send your registrations asap so we can organise everything... Hope to see you there!!!!

Gentlemen, we have booked the place to meet and sleep (Hostel Antico in Motovun) so the date is definitely next weekend...
-
Stay would be great in places like Groznjan or Motovun... Even Pula would be OK: gives us some more km to drive our 916s! Keep us posted!

I have a friend from Innsbruck and every year we go for a "cabrio tour" - ha's got a Fiat Barchetta. We went to different places so IMO we have 3 options: 1. Rijeka/Opatija/Istria 2. Lago di Garda 3. Lienz - Italian/Austrian Alps (there are many nice mountain roads and it's not so hot during summer months).

Well, I offered months ago to organise T-shirts printing (a friend has a print shop for textiles). All I need is the design... Charlee?

On 27th May 2012 there will be an attempt to break the world record of the longest moving Alfa Romeo parade. We need 314 cars! Details are available at http://www.kraskigadje.com/default.asp?rb=3&id=214 I'm going... anyone else?

I sent a message to the organiser - as soon as he replies, I'll post something here...
-
well, paso, you and me count for 4 alfas. all i need is to find a (good) driver for my 159...
-
I agree with Hailtech - repaint that black cover, it just doesn't look good. As for the rest: great Spider! Wish I had a V6...

Yes, there is still no 4C that's why I said "how it goes". If the production version is really RWD, superlightweight and with 240 HP engine it WILL have 911 performance (not Turbo or GT3, of course, but like regular Carrera). The only question that remains is if the suspension will be as good as 911's. Oy consider 156 to be the last "true" Alfa, others think that it was 75... someone else might say it was the old GTV. I would say it's 159 although I don't have a clue what will come in the future. I don't like the new Giulietta, but 159 is something I do like and respect. I had a few 156s before and 159 is a much better car driving-wise. The only problem are the engines - IMO, very bad range - it never had what 156 had - big range of engines for different tastes (and pocket sizes). Anyway, I am worried for the fate of Alfa because it seems to me that Fiat just doesn't know what to do with it...
-
We'll see how 4C goes in that respect... Alfa needs to go back to basics, otherwise they'll just turn into Seat. It seems to me that Fiat doesn't know what to do. Or doesn't want. The result is the same...

Well, I can imagine driving NOW!

I have a thing for Maseratis... http://www.classicandsportscar.com/classiccarsforsale/maserati-merak-ss/56370

Brera... ehhh... concept was fabulous, but they screwed the proportions when they adjusted it for 159 platform. From certain angles it looks great, but from some it looks just awkward. I love the Spider, though! Pininfarina studio did a great job and it looks waaaaay better than Brera!
