Me and my little Alfa Nera. A story of an Italian/Persian in Australia and his love for Alfa Romeo
00Alfa Andy replied to alfisti82's topic in Introduce Yourself
The only difference is the 0 to 60 mph speed. 6th gear has more or less the same gear ratio as 5th on a 5 speed. I do love the early ph 1 cars -

Cup 86 looks like a nice deal for some 1..... -
I did notice it was settling onto its new home, I will try the re tensioning trick. Good luck with the sale I hope you get a good price for her.

Nice and neat work. On the hard top side of things. I haven't even looked at adjusting mine. Any tips you can give me on making the back seal part sit lower?

First of many mods to the engine bay today. The flexible rubber intake hose are no longer available so I phoned the Northerner (Dan) at Autolusso for 1 of their replacements. I also ordered a replacement set of cf3 cam covers and intake plenum and other engine bay parts to clean up the engine bay when the Gta flywheel is fitted with a new gta clutch (engine out job) while the engine is out I will also fit another radiator I have knocking about (silly not too) As you can see from the pictures the wheels on the car are not bad but not great ! So I've had a spare set refurbished along with the zender wheels from the failed green spider project, I think they came up nicely ! Plus a diamond cut finnish on a set of 17 inch Siennas. work will continue around spring time. Happy holidays all.
-
Why are you going to sell the spider? What are you looking for instead? Sorry for my 2 blunt questions. .
-
Hey Evoman, what wheels have you fallen in looove with ?
-

Nice job on the calipers., can't wait to see them fitted to your car. Great photos thanks for sharing them.
-
They are a good road disc. Also ok for track.
-
http://en.tarox.com/products/brake-disc-sport-japan.html These discs are 200£+ vat a pair. Matching torrox pads 95.50£ + vat. You get what you pay for with these things. There is a company in Italy selling 330 disc for 50£ a pair. I wonder how long they would last for ?? I like the G88 discs.

Have you thought of painting the mirrors and windscreen surround gloss black to match the hard top.
-
Very nice. What bumper is fitted?
-
Nice car !! The wheels look great against that colour paintwork.
-
I really like your car !! Well done for deciding to spend a little time and money of course on getting her right. Any more picture ?
-
Good find !! It looks like there is another cup next to it in pic no 1.

Ebay Uk item no...190972687518 9k will get you a 2002 porsche 911 3.6 carrera 4s !! Alot of car for the money.
-
Thats makes 2 of us, thinking twice about it for that money I'd rather a 3.2 Gtv.
-
A friend of mine bought 1 a couple of years ago for 8k. We used it for 6 months then he sold it to a German dealer who sent his wife over with 10k in cash to drive it home. It was a nice car. Not cheap to maintain though, your looking at Ferrari prices. The previous owner spent 2k on a speedo sensor, fitted of course !!
-
I was talking about the 3.2 GT.
-
Have you been to see the damaged/salvage cup on ebay UK, is this the car your refurring to?
