The TB is heavier according to most sources. The turbo and IC installation adds weight. The weight of the engine itself is basically the same, although I suspect the 24V engine is slightly heavier as it's got two more cams etc.

Nice! I'm excited to follow this project because I can't do any mods myself now that university fees are eating up my budget!
-
Haven't tried them. Never came far enough rebuilding mine to get new shocks. I seem to recall most people running their rear Konis on the softest setting?
-
That's right. The key points in the ad are the Conrero bodykit, new Koni shocks, new clutch, and a 3-year old cambelt. It's done close to 180,000 yet "looks as if new." Sounds optimistic... 1997, 3.0 24V. Stock engine I suppose as it doesn't mention any mods

Hi everyone! As I have moved to the UK to study, I don't have time to keep working on my GTV project. It's a shame since it currently doesn't even look close to the way I pictured it in my head when finished, but that's life. It's sitting in a garage outside Linköping, Sweden at the moment. I drove it there and it ran great, revving happily to 7000 as usual That was 6 months ago tho... It needs an exhaust clamp and the air filter box needs to be fitted. Also, as it hasn't had its annual inspection, it's technically illegal to drive. Should be an easy sell, right? If anyone - in Sweden or elsewhere - feels like taking over and giving it more attention, and track time of course I'll be glad to sell it for a rather small amount of money.

Welcome! Is it a TS? Looks great - 33,000 km is nothing! I wanna hear the Grand Canyon and Newfoundland stories
-
Welcome! Does ur nickname have anything to do with a tendency to blow up engines, or maybe skills at rebuilding then?
-
No, but I live on campus and almost everything is like 200 meters away... Would be nice to bring my GTV over once I get the rear suspension rebuilt
-
Because the Blacklines have more attitude that goes along with the Cup kit on your car, Charlee. The multispokes would look too plain I believe! I haven't driven in the UK yet, actually :/ I've driven RHD cars before but on the correct side of the road, so that doesn't count...

That's a nice 159! You got the right wheels and interior, good you!

Terrible photos. Boring color combo? Hey German speakers - what's steinschläge?

More ideas... 350Z '06-08 (the high output one) Subaru BRZ Corvette C5 E36 M3 3.2 Coupé. We've talked about these before
-
Some "creative" ideas. BMW Z3 M. Yes, it's a Beemer, but the Z3 is a cool car nonetheless! And it's got 3.2L of RWD high-revving awesomeness in a unique body shell. Test drive one? Supra MkIV I know you're a couple of years older than me so maybe you don't find the last generation Supra as cool as I do. Yes, they're Japanese, and yes, quite a few have been ruined by DIYers and failed tuners... I like them in discrete colors and without spoiler kits and huge wheels. And that straight six sounds absolutely fantastic, especially with a single turbo kit... Fiat Coupé 20VT Probably behaves kinda similar to a 916. The five cylinder engine sounds good and it looks cool. Fiat 2300 S Coupé Simply because I want one.

You are right.... but I bet you would have enjoyed yourself a lot if you had been in the car the other weekend, drifting for hours between buildings in industrial parks. Especially towards the end when I hit that pole going backwards The Volvo is for sale. Anyone in Scandinavia wanna buy it? 6500 SEK. It passed its annual inspection today, too.
-
Those seats look great and the turbo mod sounds like fun! I prefer 17" although the Blackline rim design is pretty sweet...
-
It looks great as ever Wanna buy it? More fun than a stupid Lancia...
-
Guess I'll cause a few more dents soon enough so... Why not wait with that
-
Hahah! Self-healing? Naa, but full of air! There is a huge amount of space behind the fender so nothing was damaged Fixable with a hammer, yes

I'm keeping busy

I'm moving to Buckingham/Milton Keynes in January to study and I like the idea, altho I'm not bringing my LHD Alfa from Sweden...
-
I really like the Azev wheels as they are so rare! Wondering if you ordered the Aero lip from a dealership or if you managed to find a used one - it's small but improves the looks.

Our cars are relatively old and the fuel lines, o-rings, seals etc in the fuel system will not handle pure E85 very well, as far as I know. You need to upgrade to larger injectors as well. If you upgrade "everything" to E85 resistant stuff, I believe you could change back and forth, provided that the ECU is mapped to handle both in interchangeable maps.
