Considered respraying the nets in the fender vents in a slightly darker color?
-
If no one responds, you should go on AlfaOwner and recruit some Welsh 916 fans

Loving the decimal!! Sent from my LT26i using Tapatalk 2

I've been thinking and changed my mind a bit It is true and a problem that there are no casual sub sections because, as you put it, Charlee, it tends to be a little stiff around here sometimes. Having regional sections in Events seems like a good solution that is worth a shot, if they become areas where 916 fans can mess around some and get to know each other. In other words, do it! If it doesn't make a difference, then just remove it...

Do you remember what those limits are? The factory ones deliver 189cc/min @ 3 bar, what about the GTA ones?
-
Just like Kunev always does, I have some questions When changing injectors, turbo and the whole exhaust system, wouldn't you have to remap the ECU? What are you planning to do about this? Maybe it will readjust enough on its own? I really like what you've done with your GTV so far
-
Looks great! You're meticulous to say the least

Firstly, I believe the Squadra 916 community is too small for regional sections to work. Not enough users, not enough regional power to act. Secondly, the reason that I find this board so entertaining and useful is that, no matter where you live, you can come here and share your experiences and ask for help. Thirdly, the way the forum is set up at the moment, it is very easy to navigate. Creating more sections might jeopardize that.

Cool! I'm a little confused, though. Your Spider looks fantastic, the right body and interior color and my favorite rims, but is it car show material in Australia? I know most Italians cars are valued a little higher over there but I'm still wondering Suppose those chrome inlet pipes and the soothing lack of plastic covers in the engine bay really caught people's attention, regardless of my confusion
-
I agree because I like all the mods you have carried out so far (well, I prefer 17" teledials or 18" Sienas, but I'm conservative when it comes to rims ) but I don't understand why you would want to fit red hoses and a down/frontpipe like that. In my mind, both the subtlety of the GTV and its beauty lie in its lack of flashy colors and dramatic spoilers. What's your plan with these hoses? If I were you, I'd just get rid of the centre silencer or fit a rear section from, for example, CSC or Wizard, to get a slightly louder exhaust note and possibly bring out a few extra ponies. I wouldn't touch the front section and downpipe unless I was going to fit a larger, more modern turbo and modify the manifolds. In that case, I would probably rebuild the whole thing (Or rather, someone would have to do it for me because I'm the worst welder that I have ever met ).

Nice! Care to write a bit about how you fitted the 305mm Brembos?
-
The aftermarket will offer Concept style headlights in a heartbeat! The Launch Edition movie on Youtube made me all warm and fuzzy haha!
-
Did you consider getting 3.0 V6 hubs so that you get more shocks to choose from? Perhaps that would mess up your brake upgrade?
-
We all got fooled...
-
Why did you want B6s instead of Koni Sport? Lots of people seem to like the combination of Koni Sport shocks and Eibach Pro Kit springs.

The factory blow-off valve is a re-circulating one, and yours looks almost like it. But the factory valve is not shiny like yours

Fitted on an AR 155, but the subframe on a 916 is basically identical so the bar bolts on without mods. Made by a crafty guy on www.alfapower.nu, probably getting inspired by Ultra Racing.© The crafty guy, I suppose

That black GTV with a big snowdrift surrounding it (background) needs some love? Maybe you should adopt it too, so that it doesn't have to sit outside in the cold?
-
Love your long posts! I assume the reason you went from 60 to 50 is that it fills these "gaps" better and reduces wear?
-
Haha, yes this sounds like a good noob solution Thanks for your detailed answers! Looking forward to the next "episode"

First I just have to say that this thread is AWESOME! I have always been tempted to do something like this on a 916 TB but I do not have the tools or the knowledge - yet! The TB has such thrilling potential to become a serious performer with a timeless body! Its inefficient OEM turbo setup just needs a bit of massage... Anyways, my (first, definitely not last ) question is: Since the AVC-R takes the boost signal from its MAP sensor that you will place in the intake manifold (right?), will you be forced to use an after market ECU like Megasquirt, VEMS or Autronic? Or can the original ECU be used with the AVC-R and bigger injectors etc? I'm happy that I found your thread and that you are so detailed when you write! Keep up this awesome thread!
