Sure, no point in removing it right now Care to update us on your progress with your GTV? Not much happening in my corner because I'm waiting for parts.

I don't really wanna touch the heat exchanger because it looks like it will never stop leaking if I do Are there any other suitable places? Replacing the heat exchanger is Plan B. Thanks for the tip I might get an adapter that has ports for a proper oil cooler if I want to use one in the future.

I found VDO Vision gauges that look close to OE. I want to replace the clock and water temp gauge with these. The question is... Where would you put the oil temp sensor?
-
Yellowstuffs should be arriving any day now. Then we'll see if I manage to put them back together or not...

Weichers, by the looks of it. Black crinkle paint on the covers is great! Sent while procrastinating at work.

Want a piece of these with your morning coffee?

Tack! So what am I up to? Painting calipers, yeah! But, I'm not really following the instructions... It probably turns out OK anway! The calipers and the brackets are in the oven right now. I actually followed the instructions on this one... 30-60 min @ 160 degrees C. I have no clue if this paint is gonna work on the calipers, but I just need it to protect them from rust. It won't look good until I have upgraded with yellow 4-pot Brembos and slotted discs Next season maybe...

There's a thread on AlfaOwner where an Italian guy converts a 2.0TB to a 3.0TB with custom pistons and a remapped original ECU (quite an achievement, I think? Since it's as old as civilization...). It's a good read

Donating worked fine a week ago when I contributed to my favorite Alfa community!
-
Looking great! What do you mean by the land having been reclaimed from the sea? Sealed off and drained?
-
Your seasonal transformations of this car are incredible. Looks just as good in all black as it did with the other 19" rims
-
Thanks! I ended up ordering the Budweg set called 205414 locally in Sweden. A bit more expensive, but I didn't plan properly and I didnt want to wait for them. Anyone know if I REALLY have to replace the bolts that hold the caliper brackets? The manual says so... but!

Tell us how your combination of a Jag garage and Alfa ownership works

Electrolysis is done. Time for spray paint and reassembly. Anyone got tips on good seal kits for the ATE calipers? The ones I have are fine but fitting new ones would give some peace of mind...

I dont have much hands-on experience with tuning but I thought all Aeromotive fuel pumps were loud like.. airplanes *duuh*. Seem very popular in E85-powered monsters with AN10 feed lines and gigantic injectors... Do they have more "normal" tuning pumps as well?

Sorry the b*st*rds killed it for you I'd put an ad up and see if anyone's got one lying around. AndyAlfa (can't remember exactly what his nick is...) could probably dig one up for you too, since he's got a lot of 916 parts
-
No, sorry It's used and I need the plastic cover that surrounds the key hole. My door doesnt have one now and it looks surprisingly ugly without it.
-
Making steady progress here I have taken the front calipers apart completely and they are now enjoying an electrolysis bath. I have spent a few hours cleaning them with rotating wire brushes As you can see, I also managed to break my new awesome invention for pushing the pistons out... Careful with those needles! When the calipers are nice and clean from rust and old paint, I will paint them with black high temp paint that withstands 800 C. It's a test and I don't really care if it goes bad because I'm not gonna look at the car, I'm gonna drive it I have also ordered the correct Yellowstuff pads (DP41061R) and will order braided brake hoses from HEL. Some time ago I received these puppies

8000K? Thats extreme, isn't it? I thought I might eventually convert the high beam because it sucks so bad. I looked at 4300K because I dont want what's in front of me to light up in ice blue.

I was under the impression that Catalunya was a tiny bit less screwed compared to surrounding areas, but still pretty screwed...
-
Performance wise, yes. Tho I think the added pipes, especially the bend right at the compressor housing and the 180 degree turn at the right hand side of the IC, cancel out any performance gains if you keep the standard turbo and the rest of the factory intake
-
Not sure you'll feel a performance increase, but it would be a bit of PITA to install since its got the connectors on separate sides. Given the position of the turbo and intake (same side), I'd look for an IC with both connectors on the same side, if I were you
