  1. GTV Conrero Challenge

I maybe like front bumper. From 220 to 280 hp with performance camshafts, exhaust, bigger MAF and ECU tuning sounds very optimistic to me, even for 3.0 24V!
  2. Welcome here . Blue style interior, that is rare. Waiting for the pictures.
  3. GTV 2.0 V6 TB Q2 competizione ... maybe ...

And lets write something new here, after all the new season is opened . I write in another topic about strange electrical problem caused by failed fuse and in another one for founded and changed shocks on boot lid. I have another "interesting" problem, but later for it. I decide to change the garage where is worked on the car since I bought it. After inspection on some points which I want to be checked was changed: both front wishbones, right rear wheel bearing and of course engine oil - Motul 300V Competition (which I mentioned earlier in the topic). I expect also some other items, but they were fine and don't need changing . And now for the "interesting" problem that haven't been solved yet. At the end of last year my speedometer start to not work constantly. For example if I go on extra urban journey it start to work after 30-40 km, but after starting of working state I have seen sometimes it starts to fall and then go to the correct speed position. My new mechanic told me that he have seen such scenario before and the reason was failed speedometer sensor. My car (and other old cars ) have such sensor on the gearbox and more specific the differential. I remove the dashboard, but don't see broken or loose connection (I see some additional connections that are not original, but thats another story ), I reconnect two plugs, but no change. So speedometer sensor have to be found and then hopefully the speedometer will work constantly. So appreciate any working device in the car, nothing is certain .
  4. New GTV

Hello. Black GTV with red leather is good combination. What colors are the carpet and the dash? You can answer me with pictures . So you work in Octane magazine? P.S. A friend of mine give me one edition dedicated to the Delta Integrale (I'm a big fan of that car ), but unfortunately I have to give it back. Good magazine.
  5. Spider Sportivo

V6 TB have AFM (flap type flow meter) and probably it can be destroyed only with LPG explosion . Any cone air filter without box will give much more suction sound. If the wet filter is not over oiled before installation, probably will not have any problems (I don't have personal experience). K&N make statement about that. For me dry filter is the best option - Apexi Power Intake, RamAir filter.
  6. One video which look like official for GTV and Spider. P.S. 1 My previous post is not deleted yet! P.S. 2 I think that this topic was pinned before (and here I want to put "thinking" emoticon from skype charlee ), but maybe not? Will be good to be pinned, I think (and here also want "thinking" icon)! P.S. 3 If P.S. 1 and 2 have been completed, I want all 3 P.S. to be deleted for the clarity of this topic!
  7. Turbo Brutale

I see that Q2 continue to increase it's price. But I think that this price from the link is higher than normal and that is only for Q2 differential (without bearings, seals, O-rings), so you have to add more money for them (because I don't think that you or someone will install it without replace old one). For example that looks better option to me -> link . Both Q2 and Quaife are very strong , I haven't read for someone who have broke one. And as Torsen differential don't change it's characteristics with use as plate type diffs and respectively don't need maintenance. I think that Quaife diffs also have limited lifetime warranty. Changing of injectors (to one with different flow capacity) will change injected fuel in any moment. Injectors are simple devices which get signal for opening and duration of that signal and flow rate of injectors define injected fuel. In fuel table in ECU are duty cycles (times for "open" position for one cycle in %) - 100% duty cycle mean injectors is open in entire cycle (max flow rate of injector). So that times are specific for concrete operating point of the engine - RPM, metered air flow. In short at same operating point with different flow injectors you will have same time for open of injector in the table in ECU, but the flow rate of different injectors will be different for that specific time. So with bigger injectors you will have more injected fuel in any moment if fuel table in ECU wasn't changed. If the car run "lean" all the time with a little bigger injectors it maybe will run better, but that depend on how "lean" it was running in any working condition, how bigger are new injector ... . Only with such hardware changes is not the way of doing things. You tell that chipped TB run a little lean and that is very strange to me. I think that in such case will have to be checked fuel pressure and cleaning and flow check of injectors, before anything else. The injectors from Punto GT and 166 3.0 (they are the same I think) have bigger flow capacity than GTA one, around 240 cc/min. Thanos, it's difficult to believe that stock leads can be better than Magnecor KV85, after all magnecor are designed for more serious demands. But probably if both are fine will work good enough.
  8. Sorry for the car . You are not injured, right? Hope that you have got good money for the car. 3.2 Spider is rare model and probably will need some time to find your car. Very good choice for engine . I see that you are in Australia , so importing from anywhere will be expensive and in your country probably have not many such cars. You had Spider, so probably looking for engine related opinions and advices. Are you looking only for RHD car, if not look at autoscout24. I see that there is some adverts there. There is user/s with such model on here so hopefully they will give you useful advices from first hand. Good luck!
  9. Regional sections

I also agree with Filip. If there is enough active users from some country it can be done. But charlee is right about users activity and casual talks unfortunately. charlee I want to ask you one statistic question - how many not registered users visit the forum average per day, week? Maybe the major reasons for low writing activity are not mature language and that members don't know each other in person. So maybe it's time for Squadra916 team building .
  10. Turbo Brutale

What else is broken and/or demaged in the engine? Thats not the first case of bearings failure on TB, which I heard unfortunately. With what oil did you drive, at what level (just for my information)? Bearings worn with using of the car and have to be replaced on performance car with high mileage. At what price did you order Q2 diff? Quaife is at better price now. Very good upgrade for powerful FWD car. What clutch did you order. Probably something upgraded, stage 1 for example (upgraded pressure plate)? I make a little research and found flow capacity of 224 cc/min for GTA injectors, not so bigger compared to 189 cc/min stock yellow one. Did you have some problem with stock one or that have been good deal? I don't think that installing of GT2860RS or GT2554R will be much different in time, work and parts which have to be done. The question is what you want from the car and for what you have been prepared (money) and of course the right guy/guys which will make the project. What you plan to change in your engine? First rebuild your engine and then think for upgrades. The thing that I have in mind regarding downpipe was to give my car to my friend which make exhaust manifold and all other components of exhaust system, turbo piping, strut braces (weld stainless steel, aluminium, titanium). He to make downpipe and to send it to you, for some price and delivery tax of course.
  11. Turbo Brutale

This garage in Germany will only install pieces or also will make some custom parts. In their catalog I see parts for center and back section, but not exhaust manifold, downpipe or decat. They make catalysts, but they are rated for low power applications. If you can wait for downpipe I have something in mind, but your case is urgent.
  12. Spider Sportivo

Did you make some preparation (cleaning, polishing) of cam covers before using of that paint. From very close that paint looks very strange to me. Maybe there is some specific method of painting with such paint. But I really like red covers with polished lines and inscriptions, very good combination. The steering wheel looks very good . It's all about details!
  13. Hello!

Welcome here. One of my favorite wheels. But until today I haven't know that there is 5x98 ET30 variant from that model - 8.5 x 18 and 8.5 x 19. Maybe that is not from so long ago. They are listed for 147/GT, but after PCD and center bore is the same and ET is close to stock for our cars (ET28) -> they should fit just right. What specs are these wheels JamesRowe.
  14. GTV 3.0 V6 24V Paso

Great car and photos . Write something more about the car. I asked you about your brake setup some times ago (before I join this forum), will be good to write something about that on here .
  15. Turbo Brutale

The wheels are great! I see that you will continue with upgrades to your car, but the direction become very strange to me. What you want to achieve with above mentioned parts. For number 2 and 3 I think that you want to see some red color in the engine bay (to match your magnecor cables maybe), but I think they look very jap style/fast and furious tuning. And also they are not cheap (from my calculations). For track car maybe will suit, but for road Alfa Romeo Gran Turismo Veloce I don't think so. But in the end it's your car and your money. My point is good silicone hoses are good thing, but in black color. Maybe they can be ordered in different color. And the 1st picture. From my calculation the price is more than 1400E (or maybe I done something seriously wrong)!!! And you are prepare to give so much money for downpipe with catalyst! With that downpipe you have to use stock turbine or at least the hot (turbine) housing, which off course is not bad thing, but with such price for downpipe become very strange. If you decide to upgrade the turbo with some more modern unit for example you will need different downpipe or at least serious modification to front part of that downpipe, so much money will be spent pointless. I haven't seen to this moment so much welding for such part, but I don't think it's worth the efforts. My advice is - think more rationally how to spent your (maybe not hard) earned money.! If your case is - "money is no object", thats another story (but I still don't think above are the best) and I will not write such posts in your topic! Greetings for your alfa passion!
  16. Thanks for the info Colo . And here is the full episode (I can't find short part for the GTV only). http://vidto.me/jbn2wpi1s5z0.html P.S. I have problem with embeding it. It's OK when I add it to the post, but when I post it there isn't a video or code P.S.2 Some moderator can delete this post .
  17. lets do squadra meeting

Lake Garda mmm , when I read or hear that I remember that clip . That sounds like very interesting option .
  18. Turbo Brutale

4 piston brembo is good . But with changing from single piston to multi pistons brake calipers the brake pedal move more deeper (more movement to start to byte the brakes). That is because the increasing of the sum area of all pistons for multi piston caliper compared to single piston before. Of coarse I talk for for the case of keeping the stock brake master cylinder. So if the area is same before and after there should be a difference on pedal travel. I have noticed that on my setup and have been read for that on other cars. But my calipers are with bigger pistons than GTV/GTA or 166. Did you notice something like that? For comparison before-after must be taken into account that you also installed good performance disc and pads .
  19. Hello from Greece!

Welcome here. I know (because I have seen some of them) very good GTVs/Spiders (and other alfas) in Greece, but greek alfisti are not very active in here.
  20. Turbo Brutale

Very good work have been done . Good fuel consumption. Is all these km extra urban driving? What do you mean with "jumping"? With increased turbo pressure the stress on the turbo piping is bigger. With so much things changed I think is good to make some review for comparison of the car before (in the stock form) and now with upgraded engine, suspension, brakes . With what engine is that Mito and is it for you or some other in your family?
  21. GTV V6 in austria

Nice car! Is the tail pipes also custom made or they are aftermarket parts.
  22. GTV V6 TB aka Shewolf

Just a little update of the prices of the Link ECU from bulgarian dealer (and all east europe). Unfortunately the prices goes up. Either Link have corrected the price or the dealer make correction because big demand (they have a lot of work last year) or maybe both (but they don't mention new features). - Link G4 Atom -> 945E excluding VAT - Link G4 Storm -> 1175E excluding VAT - Link G4 Extreme -> 1430E excluding VAT These prices are calculated to euro by me and the previous prices are more rough. Probably Link cousin's Vi-PEC have also changed their prices. P.S. Thanos sorry for that post in your topic, but because I mention prices earlier I think it is good to write last prices. If you want I can make correction in my previous post and that to be deleted
  23. New GTV 3,2 V6 owner

My mistake . Fastest production alfa I think (excluding 8C). GTV GTA .
  24. New GTV 3,2 V6 owner

Hi and welcome here Very rare model. I'm really surprised by these km for that rare, high consumption and not practical model (like all 916) for 9 years . I see that you have other cars (more practical and economical), so you probably wouldn't use this car so often like previous owner/s
  25. GTV 2.0 V6 TB Q2 competizione ... maybe ...

@ Filip: I haven't consider such possibility, because I don't like such change to the car. And if I do it, I will have to make changes to brake setup. More options , unfortunately for every V6 GTV/Spider there is very little variants for front shocks . From what I have read the differences between front shocks for my car and GTV 3.0/3.2 is that on bigger V6 there is "bracket" on the body of shock for end link (I have write this earlier), so for my model these brackets will be unused. Some times ago I write to FK to ask them for verification on one model FK Silverline X (they have 3 models for GTV, but don't say which one for which model it is ) and give them year and model of my car. I expect clear answer, but receive question for the size of bracket (down hookup of the shock) and swaybar mount on the shock 25mm - 35mm - 35mm+swaybar mount? Very good answer for right question about their product . Explanation by me - in order of appearance : TS - V6 TB/3.0 12V - 3.0/3.2 24V. From what I know JTS model is different from above. I think it is TS shock with sway bar end links mounted on the shock's body. @ Alfaduden: In the Koni's official site there is feature Koni finder . You will see that there is only rear shocks (STR.T and Sport models) for GTV TB. There isn't FSD option for any GTV. @ ALXege: Hi Alex . Yes, I haven't yet. First It is related with other things, for which I will write in my next post and second my shocks are OK (but that is not real reason for not change ). We are neighbors, so some day can meet somewhere in Romania or Bulgaria . Keep me informed about events in your country . Thanks again for the calendar. Your calendar for this year is also great, very good work again .
