Welcome here . You have big (in my opinion ) Alfa history! Have you got other cars (not alfas) since 146? As far as can see "newer" alfas are diesel ones and "older" are petrol. Is the second 159 real TI? Tell us more about the 75 .

And the next part that I ordered is newer and more powerful fuel pump with installation kit. Walbro GSS342 255l/h high pressure fuel pump. The Walbro pumps is very famous and some members have such or other model (GSS341) installed on their cars. But the topic is mine and I will write 2-3 things about it . The installation kit is universal one. I have thought about GSS341 or GSS342 and have go for one offer with GSS342, which have been advertised as for GTV TB (they probably haven't seen a TB alive ). The difference between 341 and 342 is that on 342 the input and output are inline and on GSS341 one is offset at 180 deg -> link . The pump is smaller on size than original one and the installation of any one of the two model will be almost the same I think. Here is one chart with flow test of the pump -> link . So for example at 1 bar of boost (3+1=4 bar=58 psi in the fuel rail) and not high voltage at the pump (12V), the flow will be around 200lph, not bad . I have suspicious about my original pump. It is old and fuel pumps lose their potential over time. And bigger injectors have to be supplied with enough fuel at any conditions. So now I will have fuel pump enough for around 500 turbo hp .

That is really fast progress . Greetings . The engine look very nice! Do you think something for exhaust?

Welcome to the forum . 916 family . Very big alfa history . What models you have owned? What are these sport seats?

Newbie moving to Sydney and poss buying a Spider V6 3.0
kunev replied to D-String's topic in Introduce Yourself
Hi, V6 Spider for a daily car, that is serious! And you wouldn't have another car, right? The car is cool and you will have very enjoyable travel to work for sure . Hope you will experience much more driving than waiting . Good luck with the car. -
Great result ! Please don't paint them black . Just a joke .
-
Filip I don't hurry with the information about weight of the Stilauto wheels . I see a lot of "funny comments" about things from Biltema, so I suppose they are famous for selling cheap and not quality things. Is I'm right . Oo you make homemade alcohol. I think that this is popular only on here . Great write up for brake calipers .
-
If the engine and gearbox are strong enough why not. But be prepared to change the front tyres more often . But if you are not a fan of drag racing and/or street racing there will not worth it in my opinion . And also the car will become not so funny on "more normal" driving on the streets. I haven't seen more powerful off the shelf package from Hirsch (for engines with similar capacity), so if they agree to upgrade your saab more it probably have to be custom one and expensive.
-
Evoman, will be good if they can give you information about this car.
-
Evoman have you make any contact with Hirsch? I still think that this car is "converted" to Troll R. It is very strange to me to not have information about 900 Troll by Hirsch, if such car have been made. Does it mentioned something about Hirsch in the service history of the car. How is described the car in the documents. The car is cool .
-
Filip you have bought the same wheels as mine and the same size, right? Did you measure how much do they weight? If not, can you measure them for my info (and your) .
-
The "replacement" is very wrong word for such conversion. More appropriate terms will be - "custom fabrications" (plural) . About remapping. If you ask for my opinion - changing of turbo with different one need some kind of adjusting. Additionally changing of injectors size absolutely needs remapping! This turbo is not so much bigger than stock, but it is clearly different and will be behave differently I'm sure. Maybe on not high boost the ECU can cope with it, but that is compromise. But in this way I think the boost have to be controlled by boost controller. But thats are only guessing. Some times ago I have asked Bruno Galrito does he made changes to the turbo support bracket when install GT28RS and today I see that he give me not the answer, which I wanted - yes. So this mean more fabrications. It looks like that really isn't much space for bigger turbo, but will see that. And if GT25R can fit on original support bracket and GT28RS not, making the things only for GT25R is not option for me .
-
Nice upgrades Spirito . From picture with parts, the rear shock absorbers seems to be not sports one. Why you have choose to not upgrade rear shock, they are much cheaper than front one?
-
Welcome to the forum Ben . You car looks very good . Your car have Pininfarina badges and script Pininfarina below them and I think that this is from when the production is moved to the Pininfarina factory (late 2000), but someone can correct me.

And as I promise in my previous post, the "little surprise" about car setup This is Garrett GT2554R also known as GT25R . It is smallest Garrett ball bearing turbocharger. As you can see I bought this second hand, but according to the guy who sell it, it have been used for around 300km. More info about the turbo -> link . In short it is for engines between 1.4 and 2.2 and for power figures between 170 and 270 hp. The interesting thing is that this turbo (GT2554R) and GT2860RS (which I already have) are interchangeable regarding exhaust system. The flanges on exhaust housing have same position. So the plan is when work on my car start, the two turbos will be there and will be checked with both (for spacing mainly). So if later I decide to go to bigger GT28RS I will have to change only the piping connected to the compressor, which is different with different size of "in" and "out" . Because my GT28RS have bigger 0.86 A/R T25 flanfed turbine housing and this GT25R have 0.64 A/R I have an idea to use the housing from GT25R to the GT28RS, but I understood that this is not possible because GT28RS have bigger wheels on turbine side and 0.64 A/R turbine housing of GT25R is smaller than 0.64 A/R turbine housing used on GT28RS. I will be able also to use GT2560R (also known as GT28R) very easily .

Welcome here Alex . Nice GTV you have . What engine does it have? What is exhaust on the car, I see that it's have been changed?
-
Another interesting info that I found. It is from topic for 9-5! "Hirsch Troll are as follows: Troll E engine: 1999-2000 250Hp; 2000-2001 260Hp; 2001-2002 280Hp Troll R engine: 1999-2000 272Hp; 2000-2001 280Hp; 2001-2002 310Hp" And from the same post: "The 310Hp version has some traction problems, but it remains drivable."
-
Aha they all look pretty much the same to me . About the TD04 turbo, which was mentioned by damgreg earlier in the topic, as possible turbo. I found that there is TD04HL-19, which can give more than 300 hp. This have to be hybrid TD04 turbo, with bigger 19T compressor in my opinion. It is used by "MapTun" for one of their stage upgrade for 900 -> link . @Evoman I can not find info for 900 Troll R and I think that your car maybe is some conversion .
-
Unusual problems you have . Other your cars are also interesting to me, what models are the?
-
Put black mats for GTV .
-
And this is 9-3 and not 900 like you say in the first post. And one interesting topic that I found now, it not exactly for your car, but technically probably very similar or the same -> link. And its answer one my future question - wheels size 18".
-
I wanted to see the calipers more clearly, do they look like other calipers on other cars. From this picture I can not determine that . What is the size of front discs? And other question come to my mind, if you have to change the discs or/and pads what parts you have to buy .
-
In my opinion don't change anything outside. Can you make some close picture of front brakes for me . Nothing new here. For reference - Alfa Romeo 147 GTA Autodelta on Top Gear . And that Autodelta have plate type LSD. Your car probably have open differential.
-
Welcome here . You have clean and original looking car. What is the interior?
-
That is interesting! GTV TS and GTV TB don't use the same injectors, are you sure? I'm pretty sure that phase 1 GTV 2.0 TS use the same yellow injectors as TB (like this and this). Probably later model TS use different injectors (like this).
