I will look a bit more into this today. Short summary is that I have the same trouble with pierburg valve, so now I know that this is probably functioning as intended. The noise is much like a constant sonud of when wastegate opens. You can hear it barely in the two clips I have on the previous page. When I changed all the jubilee clips on intake I felt the rotorblades on the turbo for any free movements. This was nice and thight, so no broken bearings I guess. I have a new wastegate actuator lying around. But I really think that isn't the problem. Either the internal wastegate itself or a bigger leak somewhere. The turbo should not be overloaded since both with manual boost valve and pierburg it stops around 1 bar... If I set the manual to 0,6-0,7bar it pulls very strong and no "jumping" og misfiring.

Congratulations! I envy you now! 3L 24V is next on my list...
-
I think 9 min is possible. Will tell you after 10th May.
-
Yes, I kept that for now. It drives good now. But it still stops around 1 bar. The turbo then starts to make a lot of whistleling (like a vacuum cleaner ) . Maybe I have another leak? It does not "cut" like it did before in the clips posted earlier though... Hehe the temperarley boost gauge is rather funny as is. I think I will replace the clock in the centre. It is a VDO gauge. Onliy need a green bulb.

Ehhmm I am embarrassed... I forgot to connect the MAF sensor... I was lying in bed and thinking about the rough idle and no throttle respons, when I finally remembered that I had for some reason disconnected the MAF... Stupid... The car runs great now. And I drive with 0,9bar steady pressure. I will slowly increase pressure when I feel confident. I think 1,1 bar is enough... Also, I have swapped all jublee clips on all hoses to new and fresh ones. The old was not tightned at all. New braided vacuum hoses all the way did magic things as well. I look forward to Gran Turisimo events on Nurburgring in may now!

Ok. thanks. I had the pierburg still commected to the AFM reference outlet on air intake. Will try to block this today. I connected according to this drawing: Boost source to turbo housing and actuator to wastegate.
-
More problems now... Installed the manual boost valve, but do I need to block the inlet and outlet on the pierburg? Or can I just leave it open? I also did a measure on the electrical contact on pierburg valve, and this seems to be dead... No voltage when key ignition "on". Ca 0,5V at idle, but that is more and less zero... When disconecting pierburg from air/vacuum connection the "injector" lamp came on and car did not idle and jumped a lot... I will try again tomorrow.

Yap. Think that will do the trick. All though, Im a bit concerned about squadra chip and not a functioning "pierburg" valve... Does it have any impact? My thought is to leave the electrical wire connected to the pierburg and just attach it somewhere handy and "out of the way" from anything else. Anybody know how much boost Squadra gives? If "overboost" is 1,1Bar, is it then safe to crank the boostvalve up to 1,0Bar and set it there?

I have been fiddeling with the problems regarding boost issues today. Installed a gauge so I could see where and how the pressure behaved weird. It seems like it stops from "overboosting" at approx 0,8-0,9 Bar. Up to 0,8 bar everything is perfect. See this video I made: After a session of several "boosting rounds" I parked it in the garage for the night. With warm engine the Raggazzon played a rather nice tune: I will remove the cat. during spring Tomorrow I will disconnect hoses from "pierburg" valve and install a manual adjustable boost valve. Hopefully this solves the problem and I will no longer have to wait for "overboost". I will try and set the boost to approx 0,9 bar.

I have the latest version. Bought it for 50EUR. Worth it!

In Norway 8 hour drive is nothing! Hehe Link?

Ok. Dials is next on my to do list! It looks stunning! And the black console to the red dash.... I have no words for it! Do you still have the green illumination on dials? Please post a "night" drive photo What kelvin are your xenons? Mine are 6000K And I think it is too blue... Would like a 4300K instead.
-
To be honest, that was a hard thing to notice! But when you say it, it does seem to be matte
-
What a stunning looking GTV! I love the reflections from the paint, almost looks blue because of the surroundings! Take good care of her, and I will see if mine Nero can be as shiny of yours!
-
Yes I know, but it is quite similar to the Zender one... I like the wheels, maybe not so much on a 916, but they look just like Ghibli Cup wheels!
-
So why do you want to go back?
-
Why not get a set from a 3,0? I have a set of injectors from 3,2 lying around. Just need to test them before I install them There is 3,0 injectors to get hold in on ebay
-
That front lip looks a lot like this:
-
Your Spider is amazing! I admire your modifications, and the front Zender lip is something I just need to get! Keep it up sir!
-
Both are registrated as well... Just to pay and drive!

Yeah. I actually did just realize that hehe...

By the way... I wonder if this Air to air intercooler serve any purpose to the engine. Worth installing? I can have it for less than 40EUR, so not a big cost...
