Welcome Martin! I also own 3 Alfas, and many of our members own at least two... that's normal when you get infected with the Alfa virus! Park your nice GTV in our virtual garage!
-
A lot of work, I hope you enjoy the process! Good luck with the project!
-
Hi Jeff and welcome! I hope you'll find a lot of useful info here!
-
Zender Sienas and black GTV are always a nice combo! Welcome!
-
Blue leather, dashboard and panels? Not a common thing to see! Welcome!
-
Welcome Paul, good luck with the Spider!
-
Welcome Mike! Nice mods, it must be fast!

Thanks Jon, this is comforting! I have to do it soon as mine is also 10 years old now.

The interesting part is yet coming - because if they modify software on existing cars to meet the standard, they must loose some power. So, if someone bought a cars with, let's say, 150 hp, after that recall and upgrade they'll probably have just 135 hp. So, this is a fraud on that level and buyers can sue VW for false specifications of cars, and so on...
-
I specifically requested at my paintshop that they use two-color scheme with that metallic finish, I showed them some photos of what I want and they matched it perfectly! I am very happy with the result. Yes, I also agree that they are a bit rough for smooth GTV lines, but this is a setup for my 156, so they fit great.

I'll never go for black wheels, but dark grey may be nice combo on some cars. Also, I am not a big fan of battleship grey, I prefer something like this - two coats, one dark and one with shiny particles, it looks classy, but also serious and sporty. This is a setup I have made for my 156 after a rather long research about ideal color for GTA wheels.

Rims look great now, in what color you intend to paint them?

Welcome to the club, you'll be fine here with us!
-
Yes, that was the problem on TS - scraper rings, I remember the story now. About 1l per 1000 km is something I had on my 18 years old 1.5 boxer engine with 180.000 km.
-
How many km/miles was done with that 10 year old belt? I guess not too much? When you remove it, let us know in what condition it is and what your mechanic says about it based on his experience. Tnx!
-
Up to 1 liter per 1000 km is within specifications for 2.0 TS engines. There was a lot of talk about it on other Alfa forums and there are several variables that influence it. The type of oil can make a difference, but not much, maybe 0.2 - 0.3 l less at 1000 km.

Those 147 wheels look surprisingly nice on a GTV!

Hi and welcome! It was about time to join us, you have a nice squadron there in Poland!
-
Hi Stefan and welcome! Nice car, great color combination and I love those bull-bars. I see you have Cup sideskirts, but may I ask what happened to the front part?
-
Some new Alfa coupe in that class make no sense to me when we got 8C and it's hard to beat 8C design. This Giulia Coupe concept is too bulky for my taste. I love the 6C concept that was around the web, that was the business!
-
Gaincho, true, there was never an official concept out there, but among all those unofficial renderings there was quite a few that are stunning and yet realistic. For example this one can't be mistaken for a BMW: Or this:
-
Technically it's really superb, performances are top-notch, equipment is superb, suspension and engines can't be better... BUT design-wise I am disappointed; the concept was perfect and this is not so, this looks like a BMW replica (side), Audi (rear), and I can't stand those Audi-look generic door handles. The front is also very far from the one on the concept, so the only original bit is the front mesh pattern. 8C was original, 4C also, and not to speak about older models... but this looks like something designed not for Alfisti, but for BWM and Audi clients. I don't like that. So, it's a great-great car, but with an utterly unoriginal look, there is absolutely nothing brave in this design and that saddens me.
