  1. Alfa Romeo Gtv & Spider Production Units

no cars were ever made in 2005 nor 2006 last car was produced in 12/2004 Your with chassis number 07013895 was produced 01/2004 so no not even close to the last one The data plate is different than ours
  2. Some pictures took at the Lodz Filharmonia Bought this car September 1, 2010 It drove newly weds to a wedding September 18, 2010 Did some minor things mechanically. Basically no problem with it. Had a break in around October 2010, had to repaint doors and exchange rear and side locks. Radio gone, Satnav gone. Bought a cover. And Yes You can fit into the boot: At my birthday:)
  3. limited edition's

Check out my website now, i have updated it a bit full info on how many of each car will be ready when i finish the research, in a while...
  4. limited edition's

well thats what i was about to suggest, not every yellow spider is a limited edition:) send me Your VIN i'll check it for You, but it's from 1999 and You have a 12V engine so i'm pretty sure it's not a limited edition, but very nice nonetheless.
  5. Enrico Fumia, interview, 2012

I would like to share some insights from my interview with Mr Fumia. “Well, about Spider/Gtv interior, it was designed by Centro Stile Alfa Romeo under Mr.De Silva direction. [...] On the contrary, the Pininfarina’s proposal was absolutely innovative …if it had been developed.” - Enrico Fumia, interview, 2012 “I did my original renderings on Sept.’87. The final model was approved by Mr.Ghidella (CEO Fiat) on July ’88. Since that time, Centro Stile Alfa Romeo (leaded by Mr.De Silva) got the model for designing the interior. So, the show car Proteo (at Geneve ’91) was influenced by my design and not viceversa as everybody think [...] Anyway, the Spider-Gtv design is my 100% own idea. [...] Fiat commissioned proposals for Spider/Gtv. Also to Bertone. At that time Fiat CEO was Mr. [Vittorio] Ghidella. ” - Enrico Fumia, interview, 2012 “[...] the 164 is my own design. On the contrary, its design comes from a previous project called 154. I designed 154 in 1981, one year before 164 and it arrived at the 1:1 model stage. It liked so much to AR management (not yet Fiat!) that in 1982 it was asked to shift its shape onto the 164, based on Tipo4 chassis (common to Fuiat Croma, Lancia Thema amd SAAB 9000, all designed by Mr.Giugiaro). I really like Testarossa (designed by Mr.[Diego] Ottina). Honestly I don’t see any connection between it and 164.” - Enrico Fumia, interview, 2012 “My most favourite car-design is (and I think it’ll be forever) the Citroen DS. It represents the only sample of what Innovation must be. Its shape (in and out) is a sort of visible advertising of the real innovation was inside and outside the body. Scaglione’s SS and 33 are a nice cars, of course. But nothing compared with DS. I think that every True Designer should like to have imagined DS.” - Enrico Fumia, interview, 2012 “My deep regret is F90 is still a mysterious car. So, I’ll do my best in the future to fully unveil that – let me say – wonderful car. I hope F90 will finally appear soon in one of the Concours d’Elegance in the world. But …it depends on the Sultan of Brunei! In the book I am preparing all my cars will be explained. So …wait for it!” - Enrico Fumia, interview, 2012 http://www.bozhdynsky.com/alfa-romeo-gtv-spider-history/
  6. Enrico Fumia, interview, 2012

there is also a roumor (have to confirm it) that Alfa 156 was not styled by De Silva but by Giugiaro...
  7. limited edition's

My bad, serie speciale 'elegant' are from 2001 just like cup and edizione sportiva GTV
  8. Edizione Sportiva

if You ever have a doubt how to make sure Your car is an original Edizione Sportiva GTV, there is one way. VIN code in ePer will not show a special edition MVS because there wasn't one (Sport Limited Edition 2002 is a different car: Motus Edition) BUT there is a special interior code of 902, showing only in newer epers like v.60-69 (v70 doesnot have a 916 spiders anymore)
  9. limited edition's

Hello There is a limited edition spider Yellow with blue style interior and blue hood and with limited edition plaque and titanium-like finished centre console, BUT the name millenium editions may be not correct There may be a millenium spider version for a spiders from 2000 year, while the edition above is for a 2002 cars For sure they are serie speciale 'elegant' from 2002: http://www.autoscout24.pl/Details.aspx?id=220768426&cd=634891872290000000 http://www.autoscout24.pl/Details.aspx?id=222403120&cd=634859207400000000 http://www.autoscout24.pl/Details.aspx?id=221450239&cd=634844313480000000 http://www.autoscout24.pl/Details.aspx?id=193493818&cd=634874679960000000 PS thank You for uncovering my website, i'm pleased that people found it, it is constantly updated, as soon as i find some new info Cheers
  10. chassis numbers are: 6000515 to 6068138 and 7000000 to 7015621, yes?
  11. sure will do untill the better one is on the horizon added the Lucas or ATE system 284mm, also there is smaller altecna-spider-only system 257mm and all are lycas 240mm on the rear and the brembo 305mm / 330mm
  12. yes i know about the 330mm brakes but i still look for a confirmation (owners manual, service manual or brochure) "From 2004-on Alfa Romeo fitted the larger 330mm discs and larger Brembo calipers" so maybe some of the 3.2 cars had 305mm brakes
  13. Centro documentazione had confirmed that there were 2.0 TS GTV's in 2004\ And this 6000529 is not the first chassis number, 6000515 this is Also there is no way that chassis number are sequential, in the early production there are many gaps between VIN numbers, so one cannot simply add numbers
  14. it is already changed (edited 21.10)
  15. Could You please repeat the first and last chassis numbers
  16. as for the multilink there are 3 links, one upper (beside the toe-in) and 2 lower (one with shock absorber and one with spring pan) so 3 links make multilink definition of a multilink is a suspension setup with more than 2 links (2 link suspension will probably be a double wishbone if the shape and place of the wishbones are correct) example: rear suspension Alfa 156 is a mcpherson because alfa romeo sais it is AND the hub is connected at the top by the strut only so i dont know why do You try to say something different than Alfa Romeo said in press release, owners manuals, sales brochures, repair manuals etc.? and as for the chassis numbers there are many gaps between chassis numbers and simply addidng numbers will not be enough, if thats what You ment
  17. if they still made 2.0 ts spider they surely could make 2.0 ts gtv i have asked the archovio storico for this gtv's so in couple days ill get reply, but still think that 2 different versions of eper could not say same mistake, well 3 different versions 2.0, 6.0 and 7.0 where if i may did You get the manifests? did alfa romeo granted them to You? because i have to make my own research and yes its very slow but i like to think its acurate. please dont get me wrong i appreciate Your effort i just want to be 100% sure about the history of 916, and i still wont agree that the rear susp is a double wishbone would you please spare me browsing and give me the gap between chassis 06001500 and the first of the chassis numbers?? thats why i have only found 30 something cars, there was too big gap before nr 1500 and i thought there are no more before
  18. why then the MVS sais its GTV?, never looked at the versions though. But what if the mvs is correct and version is incorrect? ZAR91600007014131 Checked it on the newer eper and it still shows gtv 2.0 TS ZAR91600007014131

  20. Also Fifth Gear Season 13 Episode 9 as cheap skate alternative
  21. 1.its sourced from many sites, so dont really know, as i dont really care for the 155 2.By the time i had no idea of the 2.0 V6 TB Spider, already corrected this 3. 2.0 V6 TB is not Euro 3 compliant, and the carbon emmissions are sourced from owners manual from year 2000! 4. i have included the "lower" seats in: upholstery pattern, don't know the height of the seats 5. so correct, even ferrari in mid 70's made 2.0 litre cars, and it's based on busso 12V, does not matter on which, yes discontinued on phase 3, even in late 2000 6. Source repair manual 7. i have slaved more over this amongst many wikipedia articles i have contributed, so thank You for your input http://en.wikipedia....&action=history my nick Ybsone Any more??
  22. Alfa Romeo Gtv & Spider Production Units

I have found only 30 cars in 1994, and their VIN's (probably slightly more to come) mr Foskett found 103 cars produced in 1994... in my opinion there are some more problems: ex mr Foskett sais there are none 2.0 TS GTV's produced in 2004, i have found at least 4...(more to come) also i have found all 1708 cars produced in 2004, also same number as pininfarina records(so it's twice confirmed), mr Foskett says 1712 cars(not even including the 2.0 TS GTVs) in 2004 on the rest I'm researching but, well, time needed is enormous, at least I feel that I'm doing it properly...
  23. Just ordered this book, want to see if it's acurate with the facts that i found like i do have all Cup VIN's so this will be interesting to compare Just found couple of mistakes 1. Double wishbone rear suspension... no comment on that even 2. no 2.0 TS GTV's produced in 2004?? ZAR91600007015618 1/10/2004 163.414.1.0 - GTV 2.0 T.SPARK 16V E3 BASE MY.2003 ZAR91600007015613 29/10/2004 163.414.1.0 - GTV 2.0 T.SPARK 16V E3 BASE MY.2003 ZAR91600007015603 19/10/2004 163.414.1.0 - GTV 2.0 T.SPARK 16V E3 BASE MY.2003 no comment on that either overall number 80,747 dont really know if acurate... Archivio Storico woudnt give me any info nor much help
  24. 916 Special Editions

Hello http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alfa_Romeo_GTV_%26_Spider#Limited_editions Most of this article is written by me there are still some kinks to be edited, like i'm not 100% sure about the name of the millenium edition spider and there is also an "elegant limited edition 2002 gtv"...at least in eper and in VIN numbers, but never seen one on photo also the "sport limited edition 2002 gtv" is... motus edition, and the "edizione sportiva gtv" doesn't have its own special version code, that's why it doesn't have the titanium finish on the center console, just a standard one http://www.autoscout24.pl/Details.aspx?id=204910296&cd=634847637510000000 http://www.autoscout24.pl/Details.aspx?id=216211788&cd=634840942510000000 this are an examples of Motus Edition ("sport limited edition 2002 gtv")
