Yes you got it right. farm roads are horribel to drive. every bump you hit with the exhaust. If you want to drive farm roads then you should do it as an old lady. bad luck for me I live in an area with many farm roads. last Saturday we drove to utrecht with a small club alfisten for a photo shoot meeting. Exactly a month later another update. joris was clean up his garage and ther he found old set equal length exhaust pipes again. This I have bougt from him. Unfortunately the equal length exhaust pipes were not plug 'n play, becouse joris neded the flanges for his new set. Yesterday I went to a exhausts Builder and who he recreaterd exhausts and ensured that some more ground clearance. not that I have won a lot with it. There is now only space for a cigarette box under the equal length exhaust. as is came half way through the mount and the sound.

the position on the lowest setting is not higher than the factory spider chairs. because jou can raise the chairs they woudend be properly approved a few months back I bought a supersprint catalyst replacement for the spider and a few days back I had the catalyst installed and I must say I am very pleased with the result. also runs the spider better in higher engine speeds.

so again today i collected a few parts. a window motor with dropdown function and a complete lock set with code card and master key, which didn't came with the spider. and for later this years there are is still a cople of updates. because the engine has a few leaks and worn camshafts. I plan to do this, then he gets also a 6 speed gearbox. from a gtv 3.0 24v

I have no complain about the mtec brake discs I have to make an emergency stop last weekend with the spider. There came an old couple in a large lexus out of a parkinglot without looking. I can tell you that the continental sportcontact 3 tires don't have enough grip over a rough road (all small stones in the tarmac) ps the brakes worked well enough not to crash in to the lexus

the brake response is better than original. i have not tried them That well the brake pads are Falco SP2000 and the discs are from M-tec

today I washed the spider, there was a lot of dirt from a drive and garage. had a nice little driving around after washing and took some photo's

This spider I find so amazing. My spider is also gona look a little in this direction this coming weekend. I have bought a set of cup teledails. I still hope that i can retrieve my spider this week. is is stil at the garage where he still stands for the brakes update

It's just wear caused by old age, if you look to the exhaust cam you can see even what drag marks. the engine also has 170,000 km made

no no retarded camshaft timing. power delivery is still good. There is also no tapping of the valves. early last year I got even a compliment of Joris the guy with the C4 wheels. that my spider ran so beautiful.

My spider is in at the garage for what maintenance and MOT. the brakes had to be refurbished for the apk. so the upgrade set came out nice. also de valves neded som adjustment. the first day I was called by the garage owner. the brackets did not fit. they were skewed machined and to flat now I'm looking for and so few brackets that do fit. the 2nd day I was called again. the camshafts are worn out. so there is no point to adjust valves. at the end of this year, or early next year the spider gets new Camshafts and a new timing belt. (the 3rd in 2.5 years)

are the parts and labour so cheap in the uk that you repair every thing in one go??? in the Netherlands you might almost close off a second mortgage to do all that.

the black parts of the center console. above and below. the original is more shiny. the new center console comes from a 2001 spider Edition elegant which is a little flatblack of color.

It was indeed quite a big job.. Saturday from 15.00 to 16.40. Sunday from 9.30 to 16.00 worked on it. but the result is there to see. the oil of my gearbox was black as engine oil. it woudtent surprise me if it had the last 8 years no oil chance . Luckily I had no metal chips in it.

I had a few days off during the Christmas season. so I'm only gone to tinkering. the spider had a shifting problem lately. After lubricating the shiftingrods and and chancing gear oil it goes a lot better but still not perfect. the only what still can be lubricated is the shifting mechanism on top of the gearbox. Yesterday I thought I quikly replace the center console . Unfortunately, it turns out toe be more work than I expected. the whole dashboard had to get out of the car to replace the upper part. but it's worked out successful and it looks a lot nicer. the old center console spider whithout the dachboard the new center console.

only the colour is not quite match....

Indeed 305 mm brake discs. the calipers are just sprayed with VHT caliper paint color number SP-736
